Experienced Fabricators

We’re looking for experienced fabricators who can handle real jobbing work.

This is not production. The work is varied, often one-off, and moves quickly. You’ll need to think on your feet, make decisions, and work at pace without cutting corners.

You’ll be expected to handle whatever the job requires — workshop and site, welding and fabrication, manual work through to CNC. No two days are the same.

What the role involves

  • Fabrication and welding of one-off and short-run jobs

  • Interpreting sketches, site measurements, and verbal briefs

  • Site installs and practical problem-solving

  • Planning jobs, estimating, and choosing workable approaches

  • Delivering clean, accurate work at pace

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years fabrication experience, preferably in a jobbing environment

  • Can take a rough brief (sketch, site measure, or conversation) and turn it into a workable job

  • Able to size up work, plan an approach, and keep jobs moving without waiting for direction

  • Strong spatial awareness and practical problem-solving ability

  • Consistently produces clean, accurate work at pace

If you need detailed drawings and step-by-step instructions before starting, this won’t suit.

Useful additional experience (not required)

  • Quoting and pricing work

  • CAD or drawing work

  • Stainless or architectural fabrication

  • Site install experience

Pay and hours

  • $30–$40/hour depending on experience

  • 40 hours per week (6:30am–3:00pm)

  • Overtime paid at 1.5x when required

Location

  • 151 Captain Springs Road, Auckland

  • On-street parking available

  • ~5 minutes walk from Te Papapa train station and Church Street bus stops

We’re a practical, can-do shop. Customers come to us with problems, not drawings. Our job is to work out a solution and deliver it.
